Rockhampton – City of Contrasts


The Queensland city of Rockhampton is a truly diverse one, packed full of fun and exciting things to see and do. The Rocky Barra Bounty event is held annually on the banks of the Fitzroy River, each October. It is one of Australia’s leading tag and release fishing events, attracting tourists’ year on end who are keen to catch some big ones.

The Beef Expo is an event that draws in the tourists and those keen to celebrate Rockhampton’s status as Australia’s Beef Capital. This is one of the country’s greatest cattle events and attracts around 60,000 people annually.
